All i need is a little resolve.
Ok this is the first time i've ever even considered new years resolutions. But given how ill i made myself feel today it's a good year to start.
Allow me to introduce the Fuck-up Jar. An adaptation of the swear jar. As alcohol is clearly my biggest problem and the reason for the resolutions most of it is to do with alcohol. From now on a jar will sit on my desk and every time I do something that is listed below, the associated fine is to be placed in the jar. I want to say that i can't ever have the money back.. like donate it to charity or something but i think thats asking too much of me. Maybe it'll sit in the jar until i've stopped having to put money in it and i feel it is no longer required. Then i can spend it on something useful... who knows.
Drinking "too much" (without a good reason such as 21st, st pats day etc.) - $50
Drinking twice that (like last night) - $100 (no exceptions)
Jogging/walking less than 10km per week - $10 per km less than 10km
Overdue uni work - $10 per day late (weekends count as 1 day)
Revisions and additions to ensue.
Happy new years everyone.

Good luck with that.
I can so see that money being spent on alcohol... try to stick to it though, hopefully it'll work out well.
Well done on the first step, i dont think itll amount to much tho.
Those prices are a bit high for someone who hardly works.
I dont think it'll get spent on alcohol... I hope there isnt much there either.
It is steep.. But if it were less then it wouldnt be as big of a deal to lose the money. Then I would just put the money in and get drunk... and then it would just be like a savings jar... Hopefully this way the alcohol ones are abided by... and as for the other ones, it's a good incentive to walk an extra 3km that i would have bailed on or finish an assignment that i would have put off for another day which would in turn become a week... Who knows.... So far i havent drank anything in 2007 and i went for a walk this morning... 1 day down. 364 to go.
10 km a week, thats fairly hardcore. I don't think I've ever done that in a week, aside from army weekends.
10km isnt that far... its jogging/walking... not running... or not even all jogging... just covering the distance on foot.
I've done around 7 since monday this week and it hasnt been much of an effort really.. just get up in the morning and walk the dog..
Although thats the revision i was considering when i said to expect them.. because i have to see what 10km is like
Just aswell my mum didnt start a fuck up jar back in 86.
Altho imagine how much money shed have 21 years later!
